Pre-Op Tests Done!

I went to the surgeon's office and the hospital yesterday to do all my pre-op testing. So far, everything looks great. I only have to do a one week liquid diet (yay!) I'll get five shakes a day plus broth and unlimited sugar-free drinks. I can't believe I'm so close! The 20th will be here before I know it.

That is great! I have to do a one week preop diet as well.... good luck on your upcoming surgery... I'm sure you'll do great

Congratulations! I know you are excited! I will finish all of my pre op appointments on Thursday. I am sooooo excited and can't wait to get my date.

Had a follow up appointment with the surgeon's PA and got my test results. Everything looks great except the X-ray showed a hiatal hernia, which was missed on my endoscopy. So that will be repaired when they do the sleeve. He uses a 34 bougie, which the PA said is the standard in Europe. They do the leak test during the surgery so I don't have to do the swallow test afterward. I'm due at the hospital at 5:30 so I should be the first one in line on that day.

All in all, everything looks good and I can't wait for the 20th to get here!

I have a 2 week pre-op diet. 3 shakes a day and 2oz of shrimp or chicken. It's funny how so many dr.'s are just a little different. Looking forward to starting mine on the 15th. Got my count down calendar ready!
