Dr. Crouthamel at Puget Sound Surgical Center in Edmonds. I'm still pre-op but Dr. C is so caring. My appointments with him have never been less than 2 hours because he gives me his undivided attention and truly wants to be sure he has addressed all of my questions and concerns. The coolest thing about Dr. C is that he has had the surgery himself so he has been through all of it and can speak from experience.

Good luck with whoever you choose!

I also had Dr. Crouthamel at Puget Sound Surgical Center in Edmonds. I am 9 days post-op and I have been very well taken care of. I highly recommend them.

I'm also a Puget Sound surgical and will be with Dr.Landerholm. Amazing staff and I know someone else that is 4 years out from the same surgeon and she can't say enough good things about all of them as well. My surgery is on tuesday at the Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland

I am 3 days post op with Dr Landerholm(Dr Billings assisted in surgery) and I feel great! Evergreen hospital is where I had my surgery and all the staff at the hospital and at puget sound surgical have been great. No nausea due to a patch and pill that I took just before surgery.

Have you looked into any of the surgeons suggested?

Another Pacific Surgical fan! Dr Billing removed my band and did alot of the preop stuff for me. I think he is amazing, caring and really took the time to explain things to me. Dr Landerholm did my sleeve because I ran into a time crunch (insurance was changing) and Dr Billing was on vacation by the time I was ready to be sleeved.

I felt like I got great care, and have done really well since the surgery. Their mandatory followup with the NUT has been very helpful to me.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
