butterfly125 31 Posted January 29, 2015 @@fortheloveofme @ Jenngf5 I guess that is the difference every Doctor and Hospital runs differently. My husband has been the one that has gone to my appointments with me. I also choose to only share the news of my surgery with a very few people. I agree with you , nice to have someone thinking of questions I didn’t think of.
Jenngf5 95 Posted January 29, 2015 So, what if you have a spouse who isn't super supportive and are away from family?... I get that they want someone there to help you grasp all that is said, but I'm disappointed that they made it mandatory. @@Jenngf5 who was your surgeon and how was your experience? I understand the spouse thing. My husband though married 20 yrs and very supportive in my recovery (surgery 1/19) cannot possibly comprehend the struggles with weight loss and keeping it off. This is why I chose my mom. My experience was/is good overall. I had dr Hoffman and is say my biggest complaint is that he's a fast talker. Lol If you need a support person let me know and I can maybe help you and go with you to the info session. Im not sure how (yet) but I think we can private message on this forum. Please don't let this discourage you from checking out buffalo general or with your journey.

Jenngf5 95 Posted January 30, 2015 It fits! 11 days post op! My husband says it's cold try on your Columbia jacket of which I Haven't worn for two winters cuz it didn't fit- I said no no no...feeling bad cuz he bought it for me. Well I put it on (without my heavy cardigan) and it zipped with ease! Feeling hopeful and less round in the middle! Success success success. Feeling good. lavendermom3 42 Posted February 1, 2015 Butterfly125 I worry about the accidental bite of real food. I am sure however, You will do great. What a gift to be able to have the surgery. A lady at my old work at the band done a few years back. She eats chips all day and drink pepsi. I just think its wrong. She isn't even trying to do the right thing for herself. My personal goal is to just follow the dr. orders.
butterfly125 31 Posted February 1, 2015 @@lavendermom3I know what you mean, it won’t be easy to cook for others when you can only drink. I don’tunderstand why someone would go through something like this and then shoot themselves inthe foot by going back to old ways. I hope I do well and will try my best to followdoctor’s orders. I know there will be some bumps in the road but hope I can get over them.Have you gotten all your requirements done? I had to do an extra week of food journals.
