jewel 0 Posted September 10, 2006 Hi all, I am going for surgery next week 9/13/06, and not looking forward to Clear liquids for 10 days, so I was excited to hear about this bouillon that was so good and high in Protein, like 32gm. It does come in some interesting flavors, but I don't see the protein. I just bought the beef and it says 1gm, so, am I missing something? I'm looking for the person who posted about this who might can fill me in. I love this forum and all the info. I've gotten. Heading for bandland. Down 8lb on preop diet. Excited. Leaving tomorrow for TJ. Thanks for any info. Jewel
faithmd 14 Posted February 7, 2007 I'd like to revive this thread. I also went shopping for this product. Last night I stood in the aisle in my local supermarket checking the labels of all four varieties of BTB, beef, chicken, mushroom, and vegetable. Not one of them has over 1gm of Protein per serving. Can anyone out there tell us what is the product that has all the Protein?
cal 0 Posted February 7, 2007 i remember that post too and check out the BTB jars. Guess the poster made a mistake. Label states the amt. of Protein. cal

I thank the poster above me for posting about unjury chicken flavor. Would anyone know if there is a mushroom or vegetable bouillon out there with good protein? beachgirl 2 Posted February 7, 2007 I use the Unjury Protein powders and you can sprinkle them in the broths that you normally buy if you want to do it that way. 30 grams of protein is how much I shook in and that way you get a bunch at a time. It comes in unflavored, choc. van. straw. or kinds. Good luck.
faithmd 14 Posted February 7, 2007 Thank you! I will have to try the unflavored in a cup of veg broth sometime.
lindsay 0 Posted March 16, 2007 I too am looking for the Better than Bouillon that is high in Protein. The only jars I saw at my Wal-Mart had 1gram. :help: :help: :help: :help: :help: :help:
faithmd 14 Posted March 16, 2007 There is no Better Than Boullion that is higher in Protein. All of the products have 1 gram or less (that I have found). I have been able to find the chicken, beef, vegetable, turkey, lobster, mushroom and ham. I have not seen the clam, chili, organics, nor the vegan ones. Here's the link to the BTB site where you can order it, it is a very good base despite the lack of Protein as hoped: http://www.superiortouch.com/btb.htm
hlayne 0 Posted March 18, 2007 Yah I ordered Better Than Boullion off a website cause of whoever had said it had so much Protein. I got three kinds too. I was not happy when I got it and it had barely any. But on the plus side...it tastes great!

sweet_psmama 0 Posted April 4, 2007 What you have to watch with Better than Boullion is that some of them list their Protein in milligrams (mg). Our protein intake is measured by grams. So I think part of the confusion is the jar is saying 32mg, which only equals .032g of protein. 1 milligram = 0.001 grams Just FYI, hopes this helps.
Daisalana 33 Posted April 4, 2007 I'm glad they have so many flavors.. I have beef & chicken bouillion cubes in my house all the time for cooking, and when I heard someone mention vegetable flavor, I was looking for it this past weekend. All our store carries is beef & chicken bouillion and vegetable broth in a can. I like powder..
