RissyRoe 25 Posted August 4, 2012 Don't worry, when you finally start it will just drop off of you in incriments. You'll have a few stalls but you'll be ok

Thanks again for the encouragement.
RainyGirl 10 Posted August 4, 2012 I feel you. Surgery was July 17 and although I've lost a few, nothing like what I expected. Had numerous complications w/ the surgery and can't keep anything at all down, so my body has hit hit starvation mode I don't know how to get passed this. It's frustrating to not see the rewards for our efforts. Of course we must be patient, do we have a choice lol . Good luck maybe we'll both drop a good amount at the same time

KikiCC 83 Posted August 4, 2012 Thanks' date=' just so excited to start and to stall right out the gate is tough. I lost 10 during my preop but nothing since. Thanks again for the encouragement.[/quote'] I am only a month out. I lost weight the first week, then a stall for 2 weeks. I was so surprised that it would happen so early. However, although slowly, the scale has started to move again. Don't get discouraged. The way I see it, if we eating a lot less than before, and exercising as well, in the long run, it is IMPOSIBLE not to lose weight. It has to happen as the months go by. The best that has helped me is not compare my self to others, and knowing that eventually it will happen.
Delta..Make it Happen 29 Posted August 4, 2012 Thanks, just so excited to start and to stall right out the gate is tough. I lost 10 during my preop but nothing since. Thanks again for the encouragement. That happened to me. i lost 10 pounds pre ope. then after surgery i lost 5 pounds by the 7th post op day and then i stalled. so i had to figure out what to do because that just wasnt good. so i made some changes. at first i was drinking my Protein shake at 10 pm and i changed that. i started drinking my Protein Shake no later than 8 pm and if i got hungry after 8 pm i had Jello or sugar free pudding. then instead of doing 30 minutes of walking a day i began doing 60 minutes of walking per day. since i changed up i have dropped an additional 8 pounds. Delta..Make it Happen 29 Posted August 4, 2012 i was thinking that once i had the surgery the weight was going to just fall off but thats a misconception you have to exercise and im ok with that
Giselle3264 175 Posted August 4, 2012 Maybe tweaking a couple of things will help. Make sure you keep the carbs under control. Who knew skim milk had carbs??? Exercise more. My long walks are therapeutic. And drink that Water. I'm STILL struggling with that but the few days I hit it, the scale moved. Hang in there. We can do this! 1 Delta..Make it Happen reacted to this
Ljp 157 Posted August 5, 2012 I am 3 weeks out. I had my surgery on July 16. I weighed twice once a week & the scale never moved. I weighed again & had lost abt 10 lbs. I knw tht its impossible not to loose weight w the amt of food im eating. So dont get discourged, it will come up. Inches are coming off, i can tell in my clothes.
