Sheree 10 Posted August 5, 2012 Susie, may I bother you please? I am just over 4 weeks out, I drink 8 cups Water, 2 Protein Shakes (made w/ 1 cup skim milk each and eat 2 1/4 cups of Protein twice a day. I really can't eat anymore. Is that reasonable? chicagochic 73 Posted August 6, 2012 I was two weeks out and hit a stall for exactly 31 days. Very frustrating! It broke 6 days ago and I have been losing a pound a day. I'm so enjoying this and hope it lasts as long as the stall did. I went from a size 20-22 on surgery date to a size 16 in two months. I love it! 1 SophieJaneB reacted to this

Today I am 11 days postop and have maybe lost 1 1/2 pounds. I have stared at the scale so many times I'm confused. Did your dr explain the long stall? So happy you're seeing some movement. She said it was normal and not to worry. People stall anywhere from 3days to 3months.
LzL 9 Posted August 6, 2012 WOW! I am sooo relieved to know that I'm not the only one who has stalled. I thought someone was playing a little dirty joke on me after all the work with the pre-op/post op. I'm 4 wks out and I'm doing all the right things, but I've stalled since 2 weeks ago. Energy is still a problem too, but that's actually getting a bit better. I just could not understand why I wasn't losing if I know I'm eating next to nothing every day. Hopefully, we will all start losing again and then we can all do the happy dance.
Back~To~Amy 307 Posted August 6, 2012 I will be 9 weeks postop tomorrow and have already had 2 stalls. My second one ended over the weekend. The good thing is I've still lost 47 pounds. 1 SophieJaneB reacted to this
JD7176 84 Posted August 7, 2012 Ive been hovering for 2 weeks at 406. I'm 8 weeks tomorrow. I got a depo lupron shot 2 weeks ago and I think that may be the culprit *sigh* In the meantime I'm doing Zumba 3x a week, limiting my carbs (which I was never instructed to do, but picked up from here), trying to drink more Water and waiting on a miracle lol. LzL 9 Posted August 9, 2012 Update... My stall broke yesterday... My scale went down one pound. YEAH! Hopefully this will continue beyond the one pound. I saw my doc for my 1 month post-op and told him what happened. He said this is totally normal. Of course it's really not very reassuring when your goal is to drop the pounds. But he said this will happen from time to time, and even if you are not losing 'weight', you are probably losing 'inches'. As long as you are on track with your progress, the weight WILL come off. Anyway, he said Water, Water, water... and the subliminal jab at the forever in the back of your mind... 'EXCERCISE'. This is not so easy as it seems. Especially if you have physical challenges to begin with. My physical efforts have been reallllllly slow at getting up the enthusiasm. My spine specialist is waiting until my second month post-op to put me in a PT regemine. I'm sure at that time things will pick up. Til then, walking in the water is my form of excercise. SophieJaneB 92 Posted August 10, 2012 I'm stalled AGAIN. I hit 25 lbs down on July 29th, and then gained a pound, stayed there for many days, and lost it again, so basically I haven't lost any weight since July 29th. And my surgery was just on July 11th. I am getting about 500-750 calories a day AND working out 4x a week. I am not getting all my Water in, but I should still be losing. This is so frusterating. No wonder I quit at so many diets before the surgery, hit a stall, and feel hopeless, then give up. Glad I can't give up now!
