I'd have been running up and down the street in my underwear, holding the pants above my head screaming, "they won't stay up! They won't stay up!". Hahaha

Congratulations on the NSV!

I hate my old sweaters. They used to be too tight. Now I swim in them.

They remind me of when I was a teen and let my girlfiend wear my sweater to show off that she had a boyfriend.

She looked in them then like I look in them now.

I don't have a boyfiend.

Homey don't play dat.

All my boyfriends sweaters were too small :-(

I bet my husband grumbles this winter when I steal all his clothes lol.

Every time I try on a pair of pants that are too big I just have to share by showing my husband how I can pull my pants off without unbuttoning them. He doesn't mind!!

i always bought those jean pants that fit "heavier" people - never had loops for a belt - never could attach my keys to belt hoops

i bought a pair of capris a while back- not only did it have " loops" i wore a belt, i could attach my keys to the belt. this is a big NSV for me :)

I had a pair of smaller pants that I couldn't get past my knees. Yes, my knees. I held onto those suckers for so long. After surgery I had tried them again and I got them up over my booty, so I said soon, soon you adorable pants. I tried them on 2 days ago, because I was depressed it was over a week with no weight loss and they fall off me.

I now have a skirt that I couldn't wrap around ONE thigh (my thigh was bigger than my entire stomach). I got the skirt wrapped around my entire stomach now, though it's suppose to double wrap lol. I'm getting closer to it. These things are the important things to check for, especially when you are in a stall.

This week, at my stall is when everyone is pointing out my weight loss to me, though they see me all the time, hey, look at that bone, wow you are crossing your legs (I did it first time yesterday, I never try to cross them, because I haven't done that since 1999 lol)

I love things like this!

CONGRATS and good for you all.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
