schristinew 2 Posted August 4, 2012 I has my sleeve on July 26 so this is my 8th day. I'm worried that when I am able to eat normal foods again that I will be so tempted to go back to my comfort foods that made me over weight. Plus I'm starting college so I'm scared that everything will be extremely overwhelming. Any advice??
Tia Noel 56 Posted August 4, 2012 Well I'm a sophomore in college, but I am not sleeved yet. What I can tell you is that many colleges constantly change their menus in order to better accommodate people that want healthier options. At my college there is a restaurant that portions their Snacks in like 3-4 oz portions. My freshman year I ate in my room ALOT. I also cooked a lot in the kitchen. Ill be sleeved in December after finals. I am taking my blender for my Protein shakes, grabbing portioned meals and Snacks for lunch from the kiosk, and cooking dinner in my dorm. 1 PEvette reacted to this
notime 340 Posted August 4, 2012 Just stick to what your nutritionist told you to do and you will do fine. Keep a picture in your purse of you at or near your heaviest weight. When you feel tempted, take it out and look at it. That should help keep you on the straight and narrow! 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
VSGJean 68 Posted August 4, 2012 I actually lost weight in college, but my dorm was on the outskirts of campus so I had to walk/run everywhere. food can be a problem in college. Just try to eat like you are suppose too and I think you will do fine. Find new "comfort" foods that are healthy for you.
