O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted August 4, 2012 Your diet looks pretty good to me. You may just be in a stall. How long has your weight been stagnant? 1 disneyteach reacted to this
tx_girl 3 Posted August 4, 2012 About 5 days..I am starting to work out with a trainer and hopefully that will help. I am losing inches though....
disneyteach 68 Posted August 4, 2012 I hit that stall a month ago around 6 weeks post op and many others hit it at the same time. You can jump start your weight loss, by drinking more Water and changing your diet. I found that watermelon and carbs caused my stall.
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted August 4, 2012 Yup I'm betting it's a stall, just keep doing the right stuff(like you are doing now) this could last a few weeks, but likely won't be that long. Your body is adjusting, you are adding back muscle that was lost in the liquid phase. You are still losing fat, the proof is in your measurements. You are doing Great! Keep up the good work. tx_girl 3 Posted August 4, 2012 Thanks...I am drinking about 70-100 ounces of Water a day...I need to step that up a little bit too...I am hoping working out will help.
AliveAgain 283 Posted August 4, 2012 Yeah, I'd have to agree it sounds like a stall. My doc advised me to be under or at 600 calories for the first few months, but I would keep to what your doctor finds best for you. The Muscle Milk seems a little high in calories for a Protein shake. I chose Syntrax nectar Protein mix-powder because it's low calorie, whey protein isolate. About 100 calories for 24g protein. Otherwise, just mixing up the activity and staying on top of fluids should help. You may want to try other protein sources like fat-free Greek yogurt (with just a few blue or raspberries), avocado, nuts. I know some docs say to keep watch on your fats and carbs that early out, but I found mixing up days with a little more healthy carbs/fats helped me break stalls. Sometimes having the same thing every day -- food or exercise -- can be "too predictable" for the fat-burning in your body. Don't know the exact science, but it worked for me. Good luck! elindoll88 92 Posted August 4, 2012 It could be your period. I thought I was in a stall last week after mine started, but as soon as it stopped, the scale started going down again. I had the same pattern on my long pre op diet.
