Living lighter 0 Posted December 27, 2013 I was just diagnosed with ischemic colitis in November. I started having symptoms a year ago when I was two years post my VSG. My symptoms were pain in the left lower quadrant, lose stools, diarrhea, bleeding and mucous. I was trying to see if this is a complication of the surgery? Morganne 241 Posted January 8, 2014 I am so sorry! I had ulcerative colitis so badly that I was only multiple medications. I am 100% good now and take nothing. I did run into some MAJOR pain in my colon but we discovered I wasn't getting enough Fiber. I now chew 2 to 4 Gummy fibers. I would recommend those over Miralax. I tried miralax multiple times but it seemed to cause more problems. Give some gummy fibers a try for two weeks and see how that works. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
