lamamama 0 Posted September 9, 2006 I just registered today after sneaking around as a guest. I have to say I'm impressed so far. I am scheduled for banding Monday morning (9-11-06), and I must admit I am very nervous! I hope everything goes okay (Please God) and I hope I've made the right decision by having this done. TexasTerry 0 Posted September 10, 2006 Welcome lamamama! Where are you located and who is your band surgeon? For most people this surgery is pretty much a cake walk. A little swelling or discomfort from the gas they blow your tummy up with, but it subsides in a few days. Let us know how you do. There are lots of great bandsters here. lamamama 0 Posted September 10, 2006 Thanks to you who sent me a warm welcome. Tomorrow is the big day!! I'm trying to keep myself busy so I don't worry myself into a tizzy. I am getting pretty hungry now. I hope I don't starve all the time after the band. My doctor (Dr. Nizzi) says I will be on a liquid diet for 4 weeks. Plus no smoking. I may very well go crazy. But if my weight goes down and my health improves it will be well worth it. Cross your fingers for me that I don't have any problems. I read some of the posts in the complications thread, that was scary. Any advice on post op would be appreciated. Peace.
