iceshayw 4 Posted August 3, 2012 Truth is, I feel like punching everyone in the face...ok not everyone, just people who are eating yummy food. Wish I could sleep until the day of surgery!
finallysleeved 120 Posted August 3, 2012 You have to get it in your head that, all that tasty yummy food is what got you to this point. Sure i would Love a giant dr pepper, and taco bell, pizza hut, and more, but I also know those are the enemy that got me to the stage where I was before surgery. Get your mind set that healthy food is the way to go. 1 iceshayw reacted to this
Thyckness718 21 Posted August 3, 2012 I am dreading my pre-op diet more than anything, but I know when the time comes I will definitely get thru it, with a lot of praying of course. I also know that you can do it also. Just stay focus and try to look at the light that is waiting for you at the end of the tunnel.
finallysleeved 120 Posted August 3, 2012 the pre op diet consist of chicken breasts fish and meat, high pretein, low carb, It isnt bad at all, i had baked chicken breasts, baked fish and such, was quiet good, then 2 days prior to surgery the liquid diet begins, that was the bad part but you can still drink all the liquids you want. good luck
Izuri 428 Posted August 3, 2012 Take it out on a pillow! That's what I do if I really can't get out some frustration. Or on the flip side, draw yourself a bath up, relax and close your eyes and just let all of it sink out of you. Hang in there! Not too much longer!!
Vance_ 217 Posted August 3, 2012 Remember, a couple of months from now, this pre-op diet will be just blip on the radar. It will be over before you know it. You can do this!!
bethL 48 Posted August 3, 2012 I wish there was actual food in my pre-op diet! Then it would be easy to get in the right mindset. 600 calories per day and 80-120 grams of protein- All liquid Is kicking my behind. I'm starving. Vent all you want! I feel the pain. I can't wait to be sleeved and not be famished. If I could do this diet for any length of time, I wouldn't be such a chub chub.
