I have taken potassium for yrs and this has never happend until I had surgery. Hmm. Did your doc say your bloodwork shows that you still need to take them? Your stomach is a bit more sensitive after surgery, so you may have to alter the type you take or check with your doc and see if you need them at all. They should have done a bloodwork panel and gone over it with you as to what supplements you need. I'd check with him about it for sure. Izuri 428 Posted August 2, 2012 Do they need to be taken with extra Water? I know some pills you have to take with a full glass of water - which may have not mattered as much pre-surgery as it does post-surgery. Just something to look into.
