Posting Problems

Recommended Posts

Today, I have posted to the LBT site from 5 different computers.

One was a PC running Windows XP-Pro

One was a PC running Windows 98SE

One was a G4 iMac running OSX, 10.4 Tiger

One was a G3 iMac running OSX, 10.3. Panther

One was a PC running Linux

Theses computers were at 3 different houses, so the routers were different models as was the DSL modems.

No matter which computer I was using, often, when I selected "Post Reply" or "New Thread" or tried to write a PM, there were times that I could write in the "Title" box, but the curser would not appear in the message text box.

I purposely waiting until today to write this because until today, it had happened to me only at my house with 3 different type computers, but today it happened at other houses with 2 more different type computers.

Is anyone else having problems posting to this site?

I have no problems posting to any other sites from my three home computers, nor did I have any problems from the other computers at the other homes posting to other sites.

Bredstillen - so glad you could admit you have a problem...........now take your own advice and get the stupid viagra!!

Back to topic- Earlier today the site was pretty slow on my computer and it wouldn't let me reply at all. When I would click reply, it would go to the screen but the reply box was missing. Not sure what was going on but my problem didn't last long and it's working fine now.

Yeah Welcome back TOM. You could send a PM to Alex about your problem or try to post in the section of LBT feed back and suggestions.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
