I have lost 41 lbs since May 20th. My biggest challenge is remembering to eat, the further I get aways from the surgery the less hungry I am feeling.

I was sleeved on May 30 also. My numbers are below, in my signature. My biggest challenge is eating slowly, taking small bites and getting enough liquid in. I have had no complications, have no problem eating anything (nothing hurts or upsets my stomach), and I don't feel hunger, I just feel really empty and gurgly when it's time to eat.

I was sleeved a little earlier in May, on the 10th. I am down almost 65 lbs (started at 371) My biggest challenge has been slowing down while eating. I used to eat so, so quickly, and it's been hard to break a lifelong habit.

Mine was done on may 23rd. I'm currently down 63lbs.

Hardest part for me is remembering to eat.

Wow I have the same issues. I went to a restaurant for the 1st time last weekend and I wanted to eat as fast as everyone else in my group...Epic FAIL! How are you taking your Protein? Have you implemented exercise?

Great job on your loss! How did you break your habit? How much are you able to consume per setting?

Thanks for sharing guys, you don't know much this helps me! I started this thread b/c I have been at a stall for about a mon. I will be honest I don't do my Protein the way I should and I wonder if that has anything to do with it. My doc informed me to eat something every 2 hrs. That has been hard for me and I feel like I am sabotaging my new tummy b/c I have not built up my metabolism. I hope exercise changes this stall for me. my HW was 261and I am at 220. I know I should not gage myself off of someone else, but before teading these post I felt like I should have lost more weight. I didn't look at the big pic and see 41 lbs is a big drop!!

Thanks! :) It's still a work in progress, but I try to put my fork down in between bites and really pay attention to chewing well. I haven't been measuring like I should, but I would say I can eat about 4-5 ounces or so.

I still use 1 Protein shake a day, but I eat egg whites, tilipia, chicken, greek yogurt, etc. I walk but I'm not really pushing myself yet. I need to up the intensity some but I'm enjoying it the way it is now. ;)

I was sleeved may 28th and am down 44 lbs. My biggest challenge is getting enough fluids and Protein in daily. Also remembering to take my Vitamins has been hard. I seem to keep forgetting.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
