N-Linda 9 Posted August 1, 2012 Anyone had a cafe mocha yet? I'm at a meeting and falling asleep here... I have a Starbucks right next door ... What do u think??? I'm 5 weeks post op
traceyc 89 Posted August 1, 2012 I had no restrictions on caffeine so I started having coffee at about 2 weeks. You may want to get the skinny mocha so you don't take in so much sugar or calories. My go to at Starbucks is a soy latte with hazelnut.
maggie4778 22 Posted August 1, 2012 I had a vanilla bean frapp at 2 months out n only drank half of it and my sleeve did not like it. I guess it was too sweet
FishingNurse 1,211 Posted August 1, 2012 I have had an iced latte everyday since 3 weeks post op.
Lilee84 648 Posted August 1, 2012 Even pre-op sugar has never sat well with me, so my go to has always been an iced quad venti, non-fat, sugar free french vanilla latte - I was restricted from coffee of caffeine of any kind for 30 days I think? I could have Decaf tea, but the acid in the coffee, even decaf, was a no no per my surgeon. That being said, you're far enough out to where you should be fine, but like PPs have said, go for a skinny, sugar free version so you don't upset your sleeve
Heyher 581 Posted August 1, 2012 I have had an iced latte everyday since 3 weeks post op. LoL!! But isn't that how you got the name sleeve of steel? I worry mine will be the sleeve of diva behavior...
mesaucedo 207 Posted August 1, 2012 I have a skinny iced caramel macchiato everyday! They are around 140 calories and have 11g protein! 1 misslisa810 reacted to this
COsleeveDude 273 Posted August 2, 2012 I had one, and only one, during my 2nd week. It generally fits the guidelines as long as you make it Tall (12 oz), skinny (no fat milk and sugar-free), and Decaf. The bonus is mochas and lattes made like that are only 100-150 calories and have plenty of Protein.< /p> 1 amykins reacted to this

KristinaRN 54 Posted August 3, 2012 I have a grande skinny mocha about 2-3 times a week, they go down great. I usually have it as my "1st breakfast" on my way to work, at about 6:00 am. Then at about 9-10:00 am I eat a Protein Bar. Works for me! 1 misslisa810 reacted to this
