I am two months out. Starting weight 225.1

Today I am 198.7

Is this normal? Or am I doing something wrong?

Your doing good! Don't compare to everyone else! Higher weights loose fast and lower BMI (weight is lower) you loose slower! Be patient with it! I was 266 starting out and I'm 219 now! It's been almost 2 months! Just keep eating right and exercising and it will come off before u know it! Good luck! :)

Heck yeah! I hope to be where you are after 2 months. But it's hard to guess where you should be because everyone's weight loss is so different! Trust your sleeve to do it's job and be proud of what you've lost already!

You have lost like 26 pounds...Am I missing something here?

I think what we are missing is CELEBRATING - Why aren't you happy?? 26 pounds off your body!!! Stop comparing to everyone, you are doing great! This is not a race - different people lose at different rate. Some people will lose faster than you, some will lose slower. Pre-op in 2 months you would probably have lost none or little - so be happy! You are doing awesome.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
