Kimber-lilly 2 Posted September 9, 2006 When I was shopping for this little ensemble yesterday, I saw TONS of Christmas craft stuff being stocked. Not ready for that yet. Halloween Yes, Christmas no. Not even ready for Thanksgiving! ARGH Me HARDEES!

*susan* 1,709 Posted September 9, 2006 I love the costume, it is so cute. Did that have anything to do with Pirates of the Carribean? Your son is adorable, what a sweet smile. And, it drives me nuts how early the put out the Christmas stuff. My goodness, at least let us get past Halloween and into November first. They start with all the propaganda so early, that I find I am sick of Christmas a month before it ever gets here. It is sad that it has turned into such a money-making thing. Kimber-lilly 2 Posted September 9, 2006 Thanks! This is definately from the Pirates of the Carribbean movie--we saw it with him this summer and he is hooked--I bought that hat on ebay this summer for his birthday and he wore it everywhere--including the pool! Quite a sight--bathing suit and a pirate hat!!! I bought all the stuff for this at my local Walmart--the jacket and boots are from the girls' department, the black sweatpants are from the boys' dept, the red belt and head scarf thingy is 1/2 yard of "christmas fabric", ripped almost in half! I got that belt thing he wears across his chest from the ladies department on sale! The whole thing, including the hat set me back about 55 bucks, which is what I would have spent if I had purchased stuff online specifically for a pirate costume....... DonnaB 3 Posted September 9, 2006 What a great costume! I'm a big fan of Halloween myself. I'll refrain from posting pictures though because the "kids" in costumes in my Halloween pictures are my husband and I! lol We don't have kids of our own, but we deck out the house and yard, dress up and hand out candy every year. My mom did it when I was a kid and I loved it! This is my way of getting to play dress up without having to find a full-on Halloween party every year. They're never as much fun as doing the haunted house thing anyway.
