scorpio2479 237 Posted July 30, 2012 Does anyone know what being in nurse review really means? I'm w/ Cigna & was denied due to my dr putting the wrong place of surgery & then she sent in the correction for the place of surgery & ins is saying I'm now in nurse review, so is this a good thing? Is my claim heading towards an approval. Oh the waiting is driving me nutso!!! Lol
chad2rad 491 Posted July 30, 2012 Usually means an in house nurse is looking at all the info to see if you meet their criteria. It may need the medical directors approval since it is elective surgery in order to be finalized. It's good because they are looking at your case, or they could just say that because a decision is not reached.

AliciaA122 24 Posted July 30, 2012 I have Cigna and was told mine is in nurse review as well. Of course, it's in review and I should know something this week. Meanwhile, my surgeon up and quit on Friday so I have to find a new surgeon. Mine will probably get messy!
