Candice 1 Posted September 8, 2006 I was banded on October 12, 2005, so it has not been a year yet. I have lost 120 lbs, and that's great. However, I have been experiencing frequent yeast infections in the last 6-8 months. It comes and goes in a matter of 2-3 days, so by the time the signs are there, it is already going away. I am aware that my better half may be giving it back to me, but how would I know and what would they treat him with? I have read on the internet that extreme changes in diet are one of the causes and I would like to know if there is a more natural way to control this. I know about yogurt, but what other foods might I be lacking that may be giving me this flare up every few weeks?
faybie 0 Posted September 8, 2006 I found this.... It is more based on someones personal experience and suggestions.... http://chetday.com/yeastinfection.html and this, your hubby may not be giving it back to you.....more based on medical facts and recommendations. http://www.home-remedies-for-you.com/articles/292/alternative-health/natural-cures-for-yeast-infections.html I found both of them to be very helpful and informative. Good Luck!
Melissa Lea 1 Posted September 8, 2006 Have your dotor prescribe you some Diflucan. If your doc feels you and your significant other are passing it back and forth, you both can take it. An over the counter remedy that helps prevent yeast infections is acidophilus. You may want to try that first. Melissa Lea
Candice 1 Posted September 9, 2006 Thank you for the replies. I had another lady in town tell me to use the acidophilus but wasn't sure. We have Carol Bond Health food store right here in town, so you know where I am going TODAY!!!!!
Melissa Lea 1 Posted September 11, 2006 I hope the acidophilus works for you. Keep us posted. Melissa Lea
