TracyLynn 30 Posted August 27, 2012 So this is all very interesting. But I am sort of confused on the difference between Tummy Tuck and panni... tummy tuck is muscle and skin, but panni is only skin? Would the appearance be the same? What are the benifits of adjusting the muscle too?

This when the abdominal muscles have separated from the connective tissue in the center of the stomach. This can also be repaired with exercise. Furthermore the tummy tuck is a cosmetic procedure that includes contouring of the area & moving the navel to its "correct" position The panni is a procedure that only addresses skin removal. There is no contouring, no muscle work, & often results in the belly button sitting much lower in the abdominal area. In extreme cases people have ended up with out a navel at all. 3 SweetTee, kryssaboo and TracyLynn reacted to this

ISleevedIt 380 Posted August 28, 2012 I have Kaiser insurance and there is a statement that says "Removal of skin folds resulting from weight loss surgery is not covered by your insurance". I'm just going on my second month of a 6 month program so who knows, by the time I lose the weight, their policy may change.....keeping fingers crossed, but not holding my breath. 1 jaymzee reacted to this
