helleva 22 Posted July 29, 2012 Hi. Quick question. I am on a liquid diet for two weeks. I am only allowed Water, popsicles, broth, & Protein Drinks. Question is do I have to make my Protein shakes with only water?? Can I add half water/half skim milk?? Can I add some yogurt? powder Peanut Butter? Or banana? ? Thanks
Star1221 270 Posted July 29, 2012 You would have to confirm that with your dr. I used Atkins shakes. They tasted good. They kept me full. And there are several flavors. But as far as I know, skim milk would be ok. But not the yogurt, PB, or banana. Good luck.
gallogirl99 9 Posted July 29, 2012 I used skim milk, which gave an extra 9 grams of protein...I first used half Water and 1/2 skim, just to be sure It agreed with me, then the second one, I used 8 oz skim( i use the Unjury Protein shakes) Good luck!
TheNewMimi 39 Posted July 29, 2012 You may be able to use soy milk or almond or coconut milk to add some pizazz!
totlyspld 5 Posted July 30, 2012 I actually found Premium Protein Shakes. 30g Protein with only 1 gram of sugar. And even better they taste great.
polican 32 Posted August 2, 2012 My doctor told me either Water or skim milk. the milk will give you more Protein. I wouldn't try the banana just yet, ask your doctor first.
