iceshayw 4 Posted July 28, 2012 So my NUT recommended the Bariatric Advantage Vitamins but the seemed a bit expensive? What are the list of vitamins you take and where do you buy them?
notime 340 Posted July 28, 2012 In my opinion, the Bariatric Advantage Multi-Vitamin tastes horrendous. I took one and gave the rest away. They also are, as you pointed out, expensive. The advantage to it is that you only need take one a day. Others my nutritionist suggested are Flintstones multi-vitamin, which I am taking now, and Centrum, which I will try next. Both of those are fine and need to be taken twice a day. I am also required to take B-12, Calcium and Iron. Those are fairly easy to find.
MinaT 669 Posted July 28, 2012 I take optisource 4x's a day, which you can purchase from Walgreens. Oftentimes, I buy it there is a coupon for the next month on the back of the receipt for $4.00 off, which definitely comes in handy. http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/optisource-post-bariatric-surgery-formula-chewable-vitamin-%26-mineral-supplement-tablet/ID=prod403359-product Besides this, I take a Vitamin B12 sublingual and a Biotin. Not sure whether or not the Biotin will help me, but since I have Lupus I figured it couldn't hurt.
