Almost everybody, but don't worry, you'll have the opposite problem soon.

Thank you, I thought I was alone on this. My stomach has been on a trip.

I was just the opposite. I used BariEssentials with skim milk and was almost constipated.

Yes because your body is detoxing from all of those chemicals and unhealthy stuff. This also happens to my hubby during his first two days of juiceing.

Funny thing is I went raw juicing for 2 months and was good. But this detox is extra effective.

liquid in....liquid out. Should adjust after three or four days. Incidentally, at three or four days is when I experience a zero energy day...headache. That passes too.

Omg, I'm so glad to see someone else brought this up. I'm on day 8 of restricted diet, day four of liquid-only. Four Bariatric Advantage shakes a day and I can barely leave the bathroom. I'm embarrassed to say I had an accident while sleeping as well. Does this improve? Does anyone take a probiotic? I'm wondering if this would help my digestion. I took Imodium the first day but that did nothing. Help please! I'm about to go buy some adult diapers!!!

Thank you thank you thank you for posting this! Howard one stinkin shake, my first ever and I'm now combing the Internet to make sure I'm ok! Goodness! Can't wait till the day before surgery bowl prep! How on earth is anything else left inside?! That said my liquid diet starts on the 19th, in nine days from now but I think I'm going to do at least one to two shakes a day to get ready for it.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
