Are grits allowed during the liquid diet phase post op??

If you are on full liquids, many surgeons say yes, but make sure you Water them down a bit. They should be runnier than you are used to eating them.

Oh ok, I just didn't remember seeing it on my papers from my surgeons office. But when I was in the hospital they gave me some really watery looking grits, but the dr said it was probably cream of wheat? Idk, I didn't taste it or look twice. Lol
