M2G...

You know I have been cheering you on for a long time now... but to see these pictures, side by side, makes me so proud to be your friend! You have done such an amazing job, and yea, if you never lose another pound you will be in a great place... but if I know you, like I think I do ... well, I just have a feeling that you will start to see the scale move at some point, when you are good and ready!

Thanks for posting your pictures, reminding me why you are an inspiration to me... and thank you for your continuing support... hugs from over the pond my lovely friend x

You look amazing! Are you a patient of Dr. Snyders? You look familiar from the last seminar, maybe?

Yes, I'm a pateint of Dr. Synder. I often do his seminars on his patient panel because it drives me nuts that unless I gather a few of my sleever friends we have no representation (everyone is usually band or bypass!) So I go to get the word out about the sleeve. :)

You look amazing! How often do you work out? If you don't mind me asking how much skin access do you have? I'm so excited, I am 18 days out and lost 28.2 pounds. Exciting times ahead and woman like you inspire. Thanks for sharing!

I used to work out EVERY day! But alas I started working full-time in Jan. of this year and dropped to 2-4 times a week. I do have excess skin but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Would I like to have plastic surgery...maybe. I don't have the $$$ for it and I'm scared of the surgery/pain, so I wear a lot of Shapewear and just deal.

You looked great at the seminar!!! I guess I was lucky because there were two sleevers that ***ht. After my surgery I plan to pay it forward and attend a panel or two. Or more. ;-)

Did you have hair loss problems?

Lovemylife...YES!!!!! I lost hair. But it was never big chunks. As you can see in my before photos (which were all taken during the 6 months before I had surgery) you can see that my hair is shorter. Well, I grew it out long thinking that when I lost hair (went into surgery KNOWING that a large % of people experience Hair loss after WLS even IF they are taking all their vits, and getting all their Protein like I was) I would just cut it short again. But I decided I like it longer and have been keeping it a bit longer ever since.

I started losing about 4 months post op and quit "shedding" about 10 months post op. So for 6 months I was losing hair everywhere, the brush, the shower, the floor (killed a vaccuum cleaner...yep!)

But losing a bit of hair was a fair trade to losing the weight. Plus of course, as you can tell it's not like I went bald. :-)

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
