Quelyn01 25 Posted July 26, 2012 One question I forgot to ask my surgeon...When can we have sex again? LOL Sorry for being so blunt about it, but what has everyone been told? I'm 1 wk post op today
Dooter 1,457 Posted July 26, 2012 I was told two weeks, but everyone will tell you something different. Every doc has such different recommendations, all you can do is go with what yours told you. One thing you can count on...if it hurts...DON"T do it! 1 ThickChocolate reacted to this
mesaucedo 207 Posted July 26, 2012 It seems the general consensus is "When you fell ready" and "Take it slow" 1 Territravel reacted to this
missjenny 43 Posted July 26, 2012 My doctor told me 6 weeks but every dr is different.
LouiseC 1,031 Posted July 26, 2012 I was told when I felt ready. I felt ready one week out :-) I was careful and (tmi alert) went on all fours with a pillow under my belly for support. All was good! Newbie girl 9 Posted July 26, 2012 4 weeks out was the guideline he gave me. I would also go doggie style with pillow for support! 1 FluffyBleu76 reacted to this
FluffyBleu76 32 Posted July 26, 2012 I was 2 weeks out and my Dr. told me as long as he wasn't sitting on my stomach, it should be all good. Being on top was a little uncomfortable so we did it spoon style and doggie style at first. And yes, you will need a pillow for support especially if you guys are both really excited. clk 3,519 Posted July 26, 2012 I was given no guideline but did it as soon as I was up to it, and only you know when that is! Listen to your body and go slow and you should be fine. ~Cheri
kelliecalgary 18 Posted July 26, 2012 The doctor told me at least 3 weeks but 4 days post op me and my hubby got randy and had no complications at all. In fact, I think it helped!

Rootman 1,101 Posted July 26, 2012 At least wait till you're out of the recovery room As others have said, "when you're ready". If it hurts then STOP. Find a position where it feels better or stop altogether and wait a day or two. If your partner absolutely needs attention then perhaps you would be willing to accommodate their relief in a "different" way then intercourse. I'll leave the details up to you.
