mayleeone 0 Posted July 25, 2012 I reached my target weight within in less than a year of the surgery. I was told in fact by the doctor and others to add a little more food portions to my diet. I did but may be to much. Now I can drink soda. It takes me all day to drink one can. I feel hungry all day now when before I never even felt hungry. I seem to like to eat carbohydrates a lot and not the healthy kind. I in fact have eaten everything bad for me so I could gain a few pounds back because at my goal weight I looked very unhealthy. Ive always been muscular. So when at a tiny size people thought I was sick. So I got tired of hearing it and worked hard to gain 8 pounds back but I feel terrible and notice my appetite has increased. Now I'm scared that I've ruined my sleeve. Im over 2 years post op so I guess I'm in for some changes
AngelaEEEE 24 Posted July 25, 2012 You've not ruined your sleeve. You just gained what you needed to. Perhaps do the 5 day pouch test or 5 days of Protein Shakes, meats, nuts, etc, to break the carb cravings. Then introduce healthy whole grains back in one at a time to maintain your new weight. Congrats on your success thus far! 3 Territravel, mayleeone and Mrs.Val reacted to this
Willow216 91 Posted July 25, 2012 Maybe you should see a dietician to help you get back on track without getting too small (skinny). You are already winning the battle since you are recognizing what your doing wrong. Don't worry just try and focus a bit you'll get right back on track! 1 mayleeone reacted to this
