Well, how much protien are you getting? That's a great place to start since it is our primary fuel now. Getting enough Water?

I wouldn't say it's normal, but it's not uncommon. It is likely a dietary deficiency of some sort.

Sometimes we need to get a little carbs into our diets. It might also be a B12 deficiency or Iron. I agree with OTR that maybe it's time to up your Protein intake also. Do you have a NUT you can see? She can evaluate your diet and make recommendations. I also have my PCP do blood panels to check what's going on with blood levels as well. Be very proactive and ask your PCP and surgeon anything you need to know. :)

I am also about 4 months post op. I also get really tired. I do take my vitimins, and 60g of Protein. However for the last few days I have been trying to get 75g of protein, hopefully that helps. I also think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I'm consuming 800 calories a day, that's such a small number of calories for our bodies to run on. So I've been aware of that and really trying consume only the best, ie leanest meats, veggies, and fresh fruits (which we should be doing anyways).

Have ou changed anything else? Meds? sleeping patterns? Could your menses be changing?

I sound like a worry wart but go get some bloodwork - Iron, bvitamins, etc...don't readily blame it in the food unless you have changed up your eating or exercizing.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
