SleeveNoob 95 Posted July 25, 2012 At what point did y'all start wearing girdles? Or whatever you call them and do they help the extra skin permanently? Sent from my DROID BIONIC using VST
traceyinflorida 499 Posted July 25, 2012 I wore a pair of Spanx the other day. I am seven weeks post op. Since they were my pair from pre-surgery, they were pretty comfortable.
UTGal99 327 Posted July 25, 2012 I would like to know what are the options available for this type of garment? I know there are Spanx but not sure of other options for this type of situation... I would love to hear others recommendations.
CaliKat 153 Posted July 25, 2012 Any department store will have a large selection of body shapers. You can wear a body shaping tank that is a simple camisole type thing to high compression-squeeze you & contort you full on body suits. Even Target sells the simple kinds. I wear a Flexees brand waist cincher/girdle daily. Frankly, if I am wearing a bra.... I wear a girdle. Don't leave the house w/o it. It's comfy but also stops the bulging and the muffin top effect. I've worn these garments for 9 years and only took a week break post-op I carry most of my weight in the belly and have worn the girdle to help keep it sucked in and tucked up so it doesn't hang and cause a permanent "apron". I'm 1/2 way to goal and think that there is a good chance for it to shrink to normal.
