notime 340 Posted July 24, 2012 I got a copy of the requirements for my insurance and took it to the doctor's office so he would know what to advise me on and could put the right words into the physician's notes. He thanked me for it. So that he did not have to do the nutrition advice, I joined Weight Watchers for the 6 month period, but that is not necessary.
chitowngirl 886 Posted July 24, 2012 You should make sure they weigh you once a month. Also I was denied my first time, because I said that I had went out to eat 2x in a month. They took that as me not being compliant with my diet, so just be sure to not say anything to sabatoge your chances.

ebonisekim 1,713 Posted July 24, 2012 I lose 8 pounds in month I'm afraid to gain I think losing or not gaining is the best .. Make sure your doc is being specific as to what he wants u to do in the doctor notes make sure he put your calorie intake he want you stay at and your exercise program when u go back he should write in the notes what your where doing for the month ... My doc is very nice he decided on the calories but ask me what kinda diet I wanted to do and what will I do for exercise and that's pretty much it every month weight in

I would hope that the first visit counts. My first PCP appt is August 16 so I should be done by January 16?

KristieAtkinson 589 Posted July 25, 2012 The first visit in June counts as one of your 6 months. At least it did here in KY. Godspeed! 1 MK1986 reacted to this
IMSKINNY 160 Posted July 25, 2012 I had three months and the first month didn't count. Started in May, ended in June. You should ask.
