Recommended Posts

So over the last couple of months I have noticed that I have 1 week each month that I could LITERALLY eat everything in sight...and then then next few weeks everytime I eat I either get queesy or super full, super fast..like doing good to get in a cheese stick full...

anyone else had this happen?

I wish I had days like that now at 9 months out. in the beginning, there were days like that. I have head hunger now and it really bothers me. I get a hamburger and I want to eat it all. But I can't, thank you sleeve. My emotions get the best of me at times. :)

I have the same cycle. I am betting it has something to do with hormones though... It is the same week (about 1/2 to my TOM) and the same week that I bloat... This week is the week. I am never hungry but my mind wants me to eat and I can eat much more that week. I am almost 5 months out...

Same exact thing with me. I know my stomach size doesn't change but my appetite sure does.

Yay! So glad that I am not the only one! I notice that the week before is when I get that "cookie monster" urge for everything in sight. Then the next three weeks I can barely eat..and that is when I drop my weight...I need to learn to control it...I downed my calorie goal on mfp...and I am being more diligent about logging everything...see if that changes everything.

I feel the week leading up to my period I want to eat a lot more and can actually do it. I tend to graze more and go for carbs. Not good... It's a struggle.

Kmbr.... Me too! I must be nearing the end of this cycle because the craving for the carbs is alot less! Ugh. I had a hysterectomy years ago so I didn't put two and two together but it is crazy! I don't like it!

My "hungrier" times definitely happen when I am about to have my period LOL

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
