My starting BMI was 59.9 and now I am at 41.6 -- can't wait to hit that overweight mark instead of obese!!

I started out wearing 28/30/32 and now I am wearing size 18/20!! I can not begin to explain how much I love NOT shopping at Lane Bryant!

I have gone through several different stages. I was walking about a half a mile at 2 weeks' date=' then worked my way up to 2 miles. I was doing the 2 miles for a couple of months and then it got too hot. Not sure I am a gym person, so instead I have been going to our local pool and swimming at least an hour - 3 days a week. The pool is home to me so it doesn't even feel like a workout, even though I burn 2xs or more calories than walking.

As for eating, I can have anything without upset, which is awesome! I stay away from breads or at least a lot of it. But I have also gone through stages with that too. When I was finally able to eat normally, I almost felt like I was eating too much, which lasted for a few months. I was even getting hungry. The last few weeks have been completely different, I do not feel hungry at all! I can eat maybe 2.5 ounces before I feel like I am going to pop. Which is fine by me, I was only eating because I know I needed too. I am diligent about drinking Water and have it with me at all times!

I would love to be sleeve buddies, I beginning at 340 and was worried about the amount I would lose. You have given me hope!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
