MsDallasSleever 65 Posted July 24, 2012 I'm in a bit of a funk this morning, I start my liquid diet tomorrow as my surgery is 8/1 and I feel as if I'm having to break up with a boyfriend. I've had what i call my "food bucket list" of all the things and places I wanted to eat before I started my diet and I have at most all of it but I still feel sad. I know what I am feeling is probably normal and it doesn't help that TOM is right around the corner. I knew I was going to have a more difficult time before surgery since I wouls be PMSing but there was NO way I was going to reschedule. I few rough days will be a small price to pay for the joy I will soon have. I can't wait to be on the loser's bench. I also wanted to share an app/widget with my fellow Android users, it counts down the days until surgery and I did another one for the count down until my liquid diet- The app is called Days Left, I attached a screen shot of the home screen of my phone so you guys can see what it looks like. 1 tabbymonroe reacted to this
4ALongerLife 329 Posted July 24, 2012 It IS like breaking up with a boyfriend. It is normal what you are feeling. You are going to have many "ups" and "downs" during your journey... after you have surgery, you will have a time of a surge of emotions.....but I know one thing from my journey... it IS totally worth it. So yes, enjoy the breakup while you can, but one day, you won't really miss it. Yes I am finally at that point. food schmoood. lol If you ever need anything, pls feel free to reach out. I am in the Dallas area as well. Best of luck to you! 1 MsDallasSleever reacted to this
BenisaMartim4 369 Posted July 24, 2012 It is hard, but you can do it. I started out just smaller (335) than you and I am down 104#. No it's not fun not being able to eat everything you want, but we have to make sacrifices to get the results we want. I think mine are worth it. What about you? Picture yourself in my place in a few months. 5-6 dress sizes smaller, off all your meds and a member of the Century Club.. Woohoo!! Excited yet:) 2 MsDallasSleever and SensationallySassyT reacted to this
