Gastricsleeve4me 186 Posted July 24, 2012 Found a new fave item at the grocery store this week...flatout bread (light original). Great for pizzas, wraps, etc. I wrote a blog post about it, including a brief discussion on comparing the nutritional info on the various options in the flatout bread line. Anyway, I can only eat 1/6 of one (with toppings) at the moment (9 weeks out) - nutritional info attached. I'm going to post separately about Taco pizza I made using them last night. milkD 37 Posted August 4, 2012 I ate a lot of this bread pre-op and will continue to do so after I can have solids again. It tastes less dry and like cardboard than other brands I've tried. Our favorite was to make chicken quesadillas. Another was to lightly toast it, spread a layer of avocado and top with a fried egg. The creaminess of the avocado and egg was divine. Gastricsleeve4me 186 Posted August 4, 2012 Ugh I searched my grocery store (tom thumb) I can't find the flat out bread Flatout has a website...maybe they say where they sell it? Low carb wheat tortillas are close in nutritional value. Not quite as god as the flatout lite, but close. 1 lessofmeismore reacted to this
