So The Hubby Likes An Ample Rear, What If I Lose It All?

Recommended Posts

My first thought was weight bearing exercise! Squats and lunges!! A nice round muscular bum is a sight to see!!

Neither exercise is necessarily fun, but the deeper the squat or lunge and the better the burn the more you picture that round firm ass you wanna have!

I do lots of lunges, squats and spin classes to help keep mine firm. At 45 I have no issues whatsoever it is a lot smaller and very firm after my wt. loss.

Ok, I know this is a bit much for a question and a little embarassing but it's something that I do think about. My Hubby does likes an ample bottom...lol. I kind of wonder exactly how much of it I will lose. Don't get me wrong I don't mind losing the majority of it, but I also don't want to be completely flat. So I guess I do have a little bit of curosity about that?!?!?!

I'm taking your question seriously. If you're curious what your husband will think / do, you have to ask him.

If there's any chance that he wouldn't support his spouse having health improving and potentially life-saving surgery, that needs to be discussed, pronto.

Well I have asked, but he says don't worry that he will be just as happy when I am smaller, as he loves me regardless. Maybe I am putting to much on it, but it is something I think about.

I have the same problem. My husband loves my curves and although very supportive he gets this forlorned look and asks, "are you sure you want to do this" i remind him my rear is disproportionately larger than the rest of my plus sized body (always hated thet) so i assume it will be larger than the rest of my body as I reduce. Exercise to keep it bouncy and firm!

I will say this from a mans point of view, I love a woman with a big @$$. But, shape trumps size any day of the week, I'd much rather my woman have a smaller butt that is firm & round than a big one that is out of shape.

Don't get me wrong, a big, firm onion booty is a thing of beauty. But in reality, Beyonce & J-Lo are just unattainable.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
