Single Serving Blenders

Recommended Posts

Any suggestions about what kind of single serving blenders to buy. I want one that will also shave ice so the Protein Drinks are really cold. I have no idea where to start.

I have a Magic Bullet which I love for making Protein drinks with ice in them. I start with crushed ice from my fridge though. I am not sure how it would do with whole ice cubes. I also have a Ninja. That is perfect for crushing ice. It's not quite as convenient as my Magic Bullet because you need to transfer the drink from the Ninja blender to a cup, whereas the Magic Bullet blends right in the cup.

I have a ninja and it is wonderful. Mine came with individual size cups to blend in.

I just bought the ninja. It got great reviews, and the cost is reasonable.

I have the magic bullet and it does not shave ice. If I had it to do again, I'd get the ninja.

I have a little $19 Hamilton Beach that does a great job pulverizing/shaving ice to make smoothies. I had a magic bullet but I wore it out. This cheap little Hamilton Beach is still going strong. I got it at Walmart.< /p>

I have the small $19.95 Ninja from target. Love it!!!! I'm wanting to upgrade soon to the bigger bowls but the smaller one is perfect for a single shake.

I also have a Ninja and love it. You can get a small one for pretty cheap at Walmart or Target as one poster did from Target.

ninja pulse is the BOMB !!!. come with three travel cups and lids. 6 ice cubes, one scoop of Protein Powder and skim milk just under the top of the ice make the thickest coldest frozen concoction ever!!!. plus the larger blender that comes with it whips of the Protein mix (using the cookie dough attachment) to a thick airy consistency that you can make your ice cream with it. I travel a lot for work and I use a magic bullet when I am in hotel room but it doesnt have the same thickness & cosistency that the ninja does.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
