scorpio2479 237 Posted July 23, 2012 Hello to all:-) I am new here. I've had the app for awhile now, but have been too shy to actually sign up until today. So I just found out my paperwork was submitted to ins today. I have Cigna & am wondering how long the approval process can take. My dr's offi e said 2-4wks. bmooney364 30 Posted July 23, 2012 I give a big rasberry to the 2-4 wks. If the doc office say they submited the papers you call in the morning and see if Cigna has them. I have Cigna and they said they review that info within a couple of days.

scorpio2479 237 Posted July 25, 2012 I called my Dr's office yesterday & verified it was sent & now I'm waiting for it to show up on Cigna's end. ?...during the 3 mth nutrition classes did anyone loss or gain? I did gain like 2lbs & now I'm worried. My BMI is 42.
Radwilk 4 Posted July 27, 2012 I have CIGNA too and my Dr's office submitted yesterday. They said it usually takes a few days to hear back from CIGNA. I have heard it took weeks from others, but I guess the Dr's office knows best. Supposedly the coordinator at my doctor is going to call them tomorrow, which will mean CIGNA will have had my info for only about 2 days, and ask for expedited approval. My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, July 31st. Has anyone else heard back from CIGNA this quickly? I don't want to change my surgery date, but they couldn't send out my packet before this week due to test results etc. I did gain and lose throught the supervised diet program. However, when I started I was below my norm. Now during the preop I am sure I am losing a few lbs. My BMI is 36.
IMSKINNY 160 Posted July 28, 2012 My advice is to call them regularly to check the status. I felt like my paperwork was sitting on everybody's desk until I started calling.
