I just started taking the BA calcium chews and the Omega 3 chews. I started yesterday and my stomache hurt all night. Is it too early for chews? I was sleeved may 15th.

My guidelines say I can start them the second month. It could just be that at this time, they didn't agree with your sleeve.

Did you eat it in one bite or in multiple bites? I just ate one but bit that tiny thing into four bites and took about 15 minutes to eat. I chewed very well. I am only 12 days out but I was tasting it to see if I liked it. I can start all my Vitamins on Wednesday.

Actually I chewed the whole thing and it started to taste like plastic so I swallowed. I will do the bites to break it up. That was thoughtless of me to swallow a starburst size chewy. I don't know why I did that ugh :(

I have those and I really like them!I am 6 weeks out of surgery today. I ALWAYS take little bitty bites eating it. I seriously take about 10-15 bites and chew until it kind of disolves. My doctors office said that she has seen some of those kinda of things get stuck in the stomach. She advised for me not to start taking them until I was 4weeks out. I do not take them everyday just occasionally when I think about it or want to.

I take 6 of them a day to meet my Calcium requirement, 2 chews after each of 3 meals. I started in week 2, during my purée phase. I bite 1 in half, chew down and swallow then finish that one and repeat with the second one. I've had no problems and look forward to my daily treat.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
