On surgery day, did you have to have a catheter? For some reason I've had a little fear of them (even though I've had one before, about 10 yrs ago) and I just want to prepare myself ahead of time. Thanks!

no catheter or drain! Dont worry! It will be okay. If your doctor uses a catheter, it can be put in after you are asleep! Just ask them to do that if necessary.

The catheter & the breathing tube both scared me (among many other things) Both were done after I was asleep and I had no idea. Catheter being in was no big deal (honestly that was almost a deal breaker for me when I found out about it prior to surgery) Breathing tube was gone long before I was awake. All good!
