Mell 38 Posted July 23, 2012 Some of my close friends and most of my immediate family know what I'm having done, but I'm not sure who else I should tell. My family is scattered all over the U.S. , but we all try to see each other at least once a year. I'm feeling self conscious about showing up to a reunion a hundred pounds lighter and trying to explain it and why I never said anything. Also, some of the people I work with know, and I'm caught between wanting people to mind their own business and just wanting to tell everyone so I don't get asked "what diet are you doing?" A hundred times a day. I'm being really defensive about this surgery, I don't know why. It just sucks that the results are so outward and obvious that everyones going to notice, and you really can't blame people for being curious. I want to keep it private but you really can't. ShoeLover 141 Posted July 23, 2012 Yeah, I wanted to be private about it as well, but as the pounds dropped, people at work were asking me how am I losing all this weight? I decided not to lie about it if they asked me, but I am not volunteering the information. Of course, there are people who know about it who I didn't tell, so word is getting around even though I told the few people who know that I am trying to keep it private. 1 O.T.R. sleever reacted to this
