Good morning, I'm actually doing pretty darn good. We got home from our travels about 6:30pm last night and I rested most of the evening. Up this morning reading my materials and figuring out Protein powders, etc., Vitamins etc. Not hungry but hate the anti biotic pills, How did everyone else do on their journey home? Also, what is the Protein Powder everyone was talking about that doesnt taste like anything? Hope everyone is doing well, lets hear from you.

Anyone find a Protein Powder they like? I've been plugging my nose and gagging, trying to get through the one I have now since I've spent way too much time and money looking into these things. :(

Hey Melissa, how is it going. I bought the whey Protein variety pack to try some flavors. I really like the cappucino. but I use the costco Premier Protein drinks 30 g protein in one they come in chocolate or vanilla, I add a banana or peach to them in the blender and one ice club. Delicious. Try Starbucks chocolate Protein Drinks. yummy. You've lost alot of weight. How is your family, did you get moved.

I'm doing good, and you? Still having issues with my incision sites but we're taking it week by week.

I actually ordered from Unjury.com- the chicken Soup and the unflavored Protein. Best decision yet! The unflavored Protein mixes well with just about everything and it doesn't thicken drinks, either. The chicken Soup is very tasty as well. You get 15-17 scoops out of the bucket for roughly $25.00. Probably a bit more expensive than other brands and such but it tastes well and I received my order within a day.

Hope all is well with you. Update us :)

plus I basicly live on Kraft simply cottage cheese. My sleeping at night has come to an end though, up all fricken night now and sleeping during the day again :( But I am doing Pilates and sit ups and cleaning and all that stuff so better than sitting on the couch eating and watching tv all night lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
