Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I'm Getting Sleeved...tomorrow!

Recommended Posts

My appointment is 7:30 tomorrow morning!

I'm very excited...not a bit nervous, yet. I've gotten my house all cleaned up, my family all set for the week, etc. Now I just have to pack my bag and relax!

I'm somewhat new to this site but just wanted to thank everybody for sharing everything. I think reading all this has really kept me from getting nervous.

Catch you all on the flip side ;)

Secondly, Welcome to the boards. There are so many great people here who are more than willing to lend an ear, a shoulder or advice when needed.

Just think tomorrow you will be sitting on the losers bench, fulfilling all your dreams come true. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Yah!!! I guess today will go by slowly for you :D . Good luck and hope all goes well! Don't forget to take measurements and weight today (they say taking measurements helps to keep you motivated during stalls). Oh, and a full body picture.

Thanks... That's a really good idea. Hadn't bought of that one. Today has gone really slow and not sure if I will sleep tonight. Thankfully had a glorious day of sunshine in UK after about three weeks of constant rain. it's forecast to be good all week... Isn't that typical cause I will be locked up in a hospital. No doubt our summer will be over by the time I get home and it will be raining again lol. At least I will Ben the road to a new slimmer me!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
