No, I don't think it's been slow at all. I have 2 weeks where I lost 1.2 pounds. That was the lowest. Every other week has been about 3 pounds. I eat kinda boring stuff, mainly because I'm afraid of getting sick. Scrambled egg with cheese or weight control oatmeal for Breakfast, grilled something and veggies for lunch and dinner, and two Protein shakes a day.

I had a horrible weekend eating-wise. I went to a pool party and most of what they had was tons of potato and macaroni salad and Desserts. The only Protein source was pork BBQ which made me sick. So I wouldn't be surprised if I lose NOTHING this week. I really need to figure out how to eat when I'm not at home and not in control. I didn't plan this weekend out AT ALL.

I know, it's very hard when going out. Let me ask you this, since it's been 5mths for you, or almost five, how big are you portions? Do you find that you have added more, or are you pretty much doing 4oz of everything? Do you still puree your veggies, and how big of portion of meat do you have. I refuse to not succeed in this, and any information does help. You have done great, so why not ask someone who has done so well. Is it normal to drink more Water now, or should I still be sipping it?

Sometimes I feel like I don't get that full, or I'm still hungry. I don't want to stretch out my tummy. I also feel like the Protein drinks kill my stomach sometimes. I also want to make sure that I'm getting the protein in. So I made some sugar free pudding and added protein to it. I'm so afraid I'm gonna eat too many carbs. I had bought a ton of yogurt, and it said fat free, but the sugar was high, and the carbs. I didn't realize it till I got home. What a waste of money and time. I have put a lot of money out, playing hit and miss here. Oh well, I have to make some phone calls today, and see if I can find a work out buddy to get the ball rolling. Well, I sat here earlier and wrote out a long thing, and then it wouldn't send it. So I had to cancel. Just wanted to say thank you for any input that you have given to me. I will try that. You are doing great, so whatever it is you're doing is working. I will not give up, any info helps. Thanks I appreciate it!!

      Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
      1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

        All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

      I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

      Woohoo! I have 7 more days till surgery, So far I am already down a total of 20lbs since I started this journey.
