Danellk 0 Posted July 22, 2012 I had my sleeve done on July 16th. Went well except I had sever nausea and had to be re-admitted to the hospital for another day to re-hydrate. I am able to drink Clear Liquids now and I will start my pureed foods tomorrow. I have lost 19 pounds since my two week post op liquid diet and am very happy. I still have a very bloated feeling in my stomach which feels like a lot of gas and popping. Anyone else feel like this the first week out?

I'm still have a little bloat but not much and I am 13 days postop.. I did have to have an open operation instead of laparoscopic so that has caused me to heal much slower
Izuri 428 Posted July 22, 2012 I haven't been sleeved yet, but it sounds like you're doing better =) I'm glad to hear things are going ok, despite the gassy feeling. I know I've read a lot of places that the gas is a problem. I hope it gets better soon!
LexFl 37 Posted July 22, 2012 I was sleeved on the 17th. The gassy feeling for me was the worst part! I lucked out and didn't have the nausea more than once but the gas was so painful! Hang in there and walk as much as possible it really helps. I also laid on my left side using pillows for comfort. That helped move the gas a bit. Today is the first day I feel a lot better and basically completely gas free. Good luck and I hope you feel better!
