So my hair has been falling out to the point where I couldn't wear white shirts anymore. I couldn't even run my fingers through it without several strands coming out. I started depending on clip in extensions and sew-in weaves because my own hair looked so scraggly.

Saturday morning I went to my friends' salon and told her to chop it off...All OF IT! It's going to take some getting used to, but I like it.

The weaves and extensions probably added to the Hair loss, right now since I dye my hair blonde, with the sun and swimming I'm having breakage myself. If it starts looking bad in another month or so I'll go with a cutie pixie to go with my new cute body ;)

I've been dieting since February anyway, and since the liquid diet my hair is falling out. I have long hair, but I'm going to have several inches cut tomorrow so the ones that do fall out won't be quite as noticeable. It also seems to tangle easier when it's full of loose hairs, so this should help. I've had it fall out before when I lost weight, but it DOES grow back.

as for bald heads, I think they can be quite striking and beautiful on a woman. You DO have a pretty face, I'm sure you're gorgeous now!

You've got that Toni Braxton thing going on with the fabulous face that can totally pull off a short look. I'm jealous. I think it looks great!

I've been losing my hair big time the last month. Fortunately, I have a ton of hair so no one else can tell, but I can. I started taking Biotin hoping against hope that it would work. Literally right now as I type, my hair in soaking in deep conditioner and biosilk. I'm hoping I won't have to chop it off. I don't think I can rock a short do like you can.

My natural hair was always thick and healthy. I used the weaves for variety, but then it turned into a necessity. The Hair loss wasn't bad until about 6months out, then it literally started falling out. I'm glad I lost enough weight to rock this look!

Thank you VACookey! If no one else can tell, then you're in good shape. How long have you used the biosilk? I've never tried it &think I should start now so my hair can grow back healthy.

Wow your a hottie so I'm sure any style will look great on you. I'm so nervous about my hair. My hair is very fine and thin to begin with so I would imagine in a couple of months I'll have two strands of hair so I have been researching different companies who sell hair to use for a full weave. I'm addicted to YouTube and watching teazedblackpearls and fabulasityisme because they always review hair and I'm taking note for when I'll need their opinion.

Maybe you should also try the hair Vitamins that everyone talks about on this forum. But, I love the short look. I've always worn mine short. Once I lose a few pounds, I might even get daring and spike it! LOL!

Wow! Thank you!! :)

There are a few ladies I love to watch on YouTube as well. They helped me get through the last couple of months. Good luck with your hair!

I've been taking Biotin regularly since 2 months post op. I'm just one of those people who it didn't work for. :(

Thank you! I'm loving the easier maintenance of the short hair. Can't wait to try different looks with it.

One of my friends gels hers down all the time and just goes! I always think she can get away with the shortest looks because she has a perfect figure! I can't wait to do the same! Welcome to the chic, short hair club! Once your hair is healthy and strong again, try a few highlights! You'll love it!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
