I Wonder What Celebrities Are Sleeved?!?

Recommended Posts

I know this thread is old, but I stumbled upon it by accident. I must say that I am pretty surprised that all these sleevers are actually judging celeberties for having WLS like its a piece of cake....

Haven't many of you also not been completely honest about your journey? Who cares how they lost weight, they all look great, I say!

I don't think we're judging them-just pondering 'what ifs' since they seemed to lose the weight fast. I didn't know about Sharon Osborne, but now I think Kelly did- she's always regained her lost weight, now she hasnt...interesting. If she did, great! If she didn't-great, too! No judgin', just sayin'!

I do think Jennifer Hudson had some kind of WLS... When she was losing Weight Watchers decided to have her be their spokes person and that is why she has kept it quiet! Look here is the thing, I have done WW pre-sleeve and continue to do it now! I will do it once the weight is gone too! It is an awesome program but I do think J Hud has had some type of Surgery

I just read an article about a celebrity chef named Art Smith who dropped a "startling 120 pounds thanks to Portion Control and rigorous workouts" in just two years. Uh huh. He ate a lot of salad too' date=' apparently, which he claims is part of his success.

Whether he had WLS or not, look at his before and after pics...he must have had some plastic surgery to remove excess skin or something.

I don't think he looks like he had any plastics. He still has some old man boobies and a belly pooch. Last time I lost 80lbs I had about the same pooch left and I'm praying this time it will be about the same cause I don't want a TT. He's been talking about his weight loss for a while and I really don't think it was from wls. Think I'll keep my eye on him. See if he gains any back.

Gustavo...at the end of the day' date=' I will have lost all my weight "thanks to Portion Control and vigorous workouts." LOL Of course, the only reason I could manage the "portion control" part of that equation was to have 80% of my stomach removed! (But that's just detail...right??) ;-P[/quote']

Semantics. Love having the built in portion control!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
