I Wonder What Celebrities Are Sleeved?!?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, as I begin my sleeve journey I now see people a lil differently in terms of their dramatic weight loss. I know a few people that have been sleeved that were open about their surgery and some I speculate have had it done~ Everyone knew when Star Jones got gastric because it was super obvious! With all the recent weight loss endorsements by Celebrities I always wondered which ones were real and which ones werent~//

Have you ever seen a friend, someone in passing or a Celebrity and wondered to yourself...Mmmmmmmm I wonder if they were sleeved!??

I have a few in mind how about you????????????

This is totally a guess, and I don't mean to spread libel, but I'd bet real money Jennifer Hudson had some kind of WLS. Also, I have no idea if WLS was involved, but Kristen Wiig looks like someone who had lost a lot of weight at some point. I see it in her face.

Gastric bypass was so popular that Star Jones, Sharon Osborne, Al Roker, Carnie Wilson, Randy Jackson, Roseanne Barr all had it done and admitted it. I'm willing to bet that as the sleeve rises in popularity, we will see more celebrities. Some rumors I've heard of people who've had WLS but aren't admitting it are: Octavia Spencer, Jonah Hill, Jordin Sparks, Drew Carey, Khloe Kardashian, Kelly Osborne, John Goodman, Aretha Franklin.

Aretha should have done it years ago. Don't forget Etta James!

I did an Internet search several months ago. I found all of those listed above, however I didn't see a celeb that underwent the sleeve. I too would love to know who has gotten this surgery in the world of Hollywood. I have an obsession with celebrity fit club etc. lol

If anyone is an opera fan, the American soprano Deborah Voigt had gastric bypass and was very public about it. It changed the quality of her voice: it became less rich, full, and dramatic for a few years after. Her voice eventually gained back some of these qualities and she has remained thin, but it wasn't like it was.

My point is that a significant weight loss might change Aretha Franklin's voice as well. I haven't heard her sing recently, so this is just a guess.

Jennifer Hudson did Weight Watchers.

Jennifer Hudson did Weight Watchers.

She did Weight Watchers commercials. That doesn't preclude the possibility that she had WLS.

I have found myself wondering whether models have been sleeved. I imagine that it must be difficult to be skin and bones without some kind of intervention whether it be surgery and/or drugs. I also wonder if Victoria Beckham is sleeved. She is always pictured looking miserable but maybe that's because she doesn't consume enough calories since she is sleeved?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
