And I'm only 3 weeks out............ Really disappointed. I just feel like I can eat different things finally. (I only had 4 bites, then I was full)

At 3 weeks out I would've been afraid to eat pizza....ugh I can feel the crust sticking right now!! But a week ago I had my first craving....I wanted to order a small meat lover pizza and eat all of the toppings off....I could've done it if I wanted to, I was cleared for regular food, I chose not to do it because it would go against what I am working towards, a healthier me....

Bottomline: whats done is done, you cant go back, but dont make a habit of it....your sleeve is still in its baby stage....dont push things along because you "feel" like you can do more....I actually did that too, and I ended up fighting off a virus, long story short, I went to the movies 2 weeks out and got sick..

follow your doctors orders, unless you desire to be a statistic...

You need to figure out why you ate the pizza and what you will do the next time because there will be a next time. Don't defeat the purpose of the sleeve....

You know, just because you "can" doesn't mean you "should," and I'm not talking about "oh, you're being naughty, eating that 'bad' food." I'm talking about you can do damage to your sleeve! Please be super careful during these first couple of months and let your incisions heal properly--there's a serious reason your physician has you on a particular diet after surgery, and it's really not designed just to keep you from enjoying your food! Be careful, please--you really don't want to end up with a leak or a complication!! HUGS!!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
