Yes it is possible or I am making a big mistake. :)

I have a friend who lost 200 lbs with the sleeve, stopped to have a baby, lost the minimal baby weight, and is still dropping. You can do this!

Most definately You Can Do This! My surgeons nurse lost over 250lbs in just about under 2 years after her sleeve, she is the one who convinced me not to get the Lap Band and to get the Sleeve instead. She looks Fantastic and doesn't closely resemble her pic at 300lbs. It won't happen over night but with diligence you can do this! :D

My surgeon thinks there is this 1 year magical mark where you stop losing weight. I have learned from these boards that it's just baloney.

You can lose as much as you want.

Jimbo, on the Obesity Help forum, has lost more that 300 lbs with his sleeve. It's certainly possible if you stay focused, patient, and disciplined.

To date I have lost 147 pounds...in almost 10 months (well 10 months tommorow).

It is definitely do-able and attainable. I started at 330.

I have included exercise atleast 5 days a week, early on I was doing 2 gym sessions a day, i am down to mostly one a day now....I have incorporated additional exercise into my life, by walking 2 and from work and when I need to go places.

I eat pretty much as I wish nowadays, and still follow alot of the rules, Protein, low carb and veggies. I do now allow myself Snacks which are less healthy.

It is possible however it does require a lot of HARD work on my part.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
